Day 5 - 25 April 2003

Tulsa, OK to Elk City, OK - 207 miles

Tulsa - Arcadia - Oklahoma City - Clinton - Elk City

    Left Tulsa 8AM...rush hour.....7 slow cars....some near calamities.. Made it out of town ok

    We stop and visit to the Round Red Barn in Arcadia, OK outside Oklahoma City .....32000 shingles..:-)

    ... and now, we're at Ann's Chicken Fry for lunch. Met Robert and Donna Russum, Paul Johnson's cousin and wife. They took pictures of the group and Robert "reported" our trip for the local Bethany paper.

    At this point, Norris was feeling tired from all the maneuvers and decided to skip the Clinton stop and press on to the motel for some rest.

    Onward to Elk City, OK

    Elk City, OK at 5PM.....Front Desk only has room reservations for 1 couple, not 7..whoops..We got it ironed out though. (funny smelling rooms....and the sign was burned off the front of the motel??!!) Dinner at Lupees in Elk City....The best in town....the only one we found, in town...

    At 9PM, we have a meeting in the lobby to sort things out and then pack it away for the night..
