Morning at the Days Inn in Claremore, OK

What we were treated to on arrival/ repeated on departure

Heading to Carthage, MO to meet with the Ozark Trails Chapter for a 'Hamburger Fry". Prior to this we'll visit the "Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage

Paul Johnson & Norris Edmonds got to Precious Moments ahead of the rest of us

And then we were greeted by Jim Caldwell from the local Ozark Trails Chapter

Whom, we followed to Kellog Lake on old Route66 for a grand reception and lunch

This spread was so very welcome. Being on the road for over 3 weeks, this type of home cooking is a real treat

Then, on to our hotel in Springfield, MO

A small snafu at check-in regarding rooms, but things were ironed out. It seems the 800 number makes reservatons, without checking the local room situation. ( Hmmmmmm!) Later the Johnstones go down a few blocks for gas and while running around, find a Chinese restaurant to stop for dinner

Others in the group had the option of visiting the Bass-Pro Shop, close by. Don't know how many went, or if anyone did.
