FB18062018 ////////Need advise on what tooth flywheel and length bolts in crank to use when installing 700r4 trans to a 289 stude///// David Levesque: The ones I used to make used the larger 164 tooth flywheel from Summit Racing. Can't vouch for the copycats that came along afterwards. Dono how many of mine are floating around out there, and how many have been modified. At least a few versions were copied and produced by others, so I dont know if this will help at all. I dont have the exact figures in front of me, but the bolt length I used was right in between the Stude automatic flywheel bolts, and the longer stickshift flywheel bolts. If your crank already has the stickshift flywheel bolts, you can bolt the new flywheel/flexplate and aluminum crank hub right on, then you can trim off the length of a few (3 or4 threads if I remember correctly) of the excess threads sticking past the nuts, leaving the customary 3 threads past the nut.
