springs. I'd like to get a more modern front seat for my aging backside. 
It's got to be able to allow access to the rear seat.  Any suggestions////

 later Lark seat will work and be a lot more comfortable than the old
'55 seat...

Volvo used to be noted for having the best seats around.
Check them out. Consider getting two RH pasaenger seats.

But try them, or whatever you are considering, first.  Different seats fit
different people.  I hate late model (post '80) Volvo seats.  I am
uncomfortable in 15 miles.

Ford Ranger Pickup or Explorer Sport (2 door), best thing on a Ford is
the seats!
