From: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/showthread.php?55127-Fuel-pump-for-the-Studebaker-6s Oct 2011 Neal in NM The fuel pump is the same between the Commander and the Champion. The difference is the actuation arm is longer on the Commander engine. I know because when I first started working on my truck I found that the fuel pump was rotten and had the local FLAPS order a champion pump so I could see the difference. I drove out the pivot pin holding the arms and swapped them. For a little insurance (against leaks) I capped off the pin with a little black rtv. Neal ------------------------------------------------------------ SiLiconD17 When I was on the phone with Studebaker-Intl they did say they would rebuild mine if I sent the core in, but they didn't have a rebuild kit that they sold. Neal, you are spot on. My research paid off! I went by Napa this morning and picked up an Airtex fuel pump part # 6790. When I got home from work I put them side by side and they were identical. All I had to do was drive out the rocker arm pivot pin on both of them and swap the rocker arms. The new one went in perfect, and should work great. I was also able to put my carb kit into the carburetor so it should also be good to go now. For anyone looking for a Commander/Land Cruiser L6 fuel pump, the 6790 may be the way to go. RockAuto.com has them for about $35 online. It's not 100% original, but looks close to original and works just fine.
