//////recently rebuilt a R-2 engine and had a question about the pushrods. When we put the rocker stands on, the pushrods were about a quarter of an inch too short. After digging through a whole bunch of pushrods, we found some a little longer.///////// -------- I believe that Studebaker push rods prior to '62 or there abouts were about a quarter of an inch shorter than the '62-'64 at least for the V8. On my R1 with the Chevy valve conversion I am using the earlier push rods since the Chevy valves are shorter than the Studes (also cut .260 off the rocker stands to compensate).
