Miscellaneous Parts for Studes - Begin 19 April 1999 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 18 Apr 1999 18:52:53 GMT From: a100prcent@aol.com check your distributor shaft pin, there's an entry reporting that a couple of people had their pin fail when it does you lose oil pressure which we all know is not a good thing. the suggestion is to drill the hole in the gear out larger and fit a quality steel pin in there another suggestion was to mount your partial flow filter upside down so the sludge doesn't drain back into the engine. It seems to me that would also make filter change time a lot less messy a suggestion was made to route a line from the exit of the oil filter to a fitting placed in the timing gear cover to squirt oil on the timing gears for longer life another suggestion was to place a temp sending unit in the drain plug of the transmission to monitor the trans oil temp here's another motor mount reference, use Ford Cortina mounts on the sixes they are softer and thicker than the originals. rg Warner #31-2206 John, The oil filters you can use are Brake Cylinders -------------------
