Now Dorman is owned by some one else, in Pa. Regardless, the plugs are now imported. The latest NAPA number I have is NAPA/Balkamp 600-4027 or Dorman 568-009. These are 1.5" copper expandable and work like Cliff mentioned. On a 55, there's a land in the core hole, so the Dormans fit great. Clean the edge of the hole, a little red Lok-Tite, set it in and crank the acorn nut. I made a flat wrench to assist in holding the plug in place, when tightening.
