I ordered and received two belts for the supercharger from a stude
vendor, both were in a paper sleeve which said Gates 7565. Since my
supercharger was off being rebuilt I just put them aside. I assumed
that they were both the same and correct. Went to install them today
and one was 7565 and the other 7545. One was too long, the other too
short.
Does anyone have good part numbers for the R2
supercharger belts? I want to source them locally if I can and avoid
this shipping back and forth.

7545 should be right, there's a lot of tension on those bad boys. 7555 if you have a 8" crank pulley ("high output" setup)

The Stude number is 1555319 ( 55 1/8" X 15/32" X 38 degree )
Gates Number should be 8301
Napa 114
Goodyear 3122H
It fits 1971-72 All Chev 307;350;400 V8 W/AC and IHC 544; 2544 |
