(Avanti Spring Isolators)

The front springs on Avantis and Avanti II's are different due to the difference in weight of the respective engines. Both models have rubber isolators on the top of the spring, most likely to prevent metal to metal noise when the A-frame is articulating under load

In the photo, the one on the left is an original, the right a replacement. The difference in thickness is about 3/8" and may affect your camber setting. If the car sits lower, then the action of the suspension will move the upper joint of the kingpin out a bit, so this would be an item worth checking if these isolators are replaced.
