You are bidding on a
all original 29,455 mile 1972 Studebaker Avanti II. This car
was bought brand new in 1972 by a doctor in West Virginia. The
selling dealer was Penn Avanti Sales Company out of McLean
Virgina. The original owners son told me that Avanti flew a sales
person in to sell the car to his dad. I purchased this car from
the original owners son! This car has been in the same family
since new! I have every piece of documentation the car was
delivered with to include the following: Avanti II owner's
Service Policy, Penn Avanti Sales Company Purchase Agreement, Avanti
Owners Guide, Vehicle Registration, misc. receipts etc... This
car new was $9,880.00 in 1972! Here are the options on the
original bill of sale: Door & Fender protectors,Power
steering, Tilt steering, Air conditioning, Electric windows, Tinted
glass, Leather-Oyster Trim-Blue jay seats, Luxury carpets- wonld #69
evening mist blue, FM-AM Radio, Rear speaker, Internal control mirror,
Rear window defogger, Fog lights, Burgar alarm, Delivery. The car
has been sitting for many years and is now in need of a light
restoration. The cars interior is in need of a restoration as you
can tell by the pictures, but everything is the way it was
new with the exception of the factory radio. The body on the
car is in very good condition considering it's age. The last time
the car was driven was two years ago. I have a brand new battery
I just put in the car and am planning on draining the old gas before I
start it. This is a very nice all "ORIGINAL" car that deserves to
go to someone who will take it back to it's original glory! I
have a letter from the original owners son stating that the milage is
accurate to the car that goes with the car. I would love to
restore this car but unfortunatly I do not have the space nor the time
to do this car right. If you have any questions please feel free
to call me at 216-905-1983.
Thanks and happy bidding! Jeff
