You would need to remove the rollbar cover, side panels and overhead console. Removing the rear side panels would make life simple but they don't come off easily and you should be able to push the rear section up and under those panels. Then use a plastic putty knife and peal the rear glass' weatherstrip back and then slipping it over the headliner. When I did mine I glued up insulation first and then the headliner, OK for the back not the front. The glue wasn't strong enough to withstand the panel's desire to go back to its flat state. The solution was to do all the necessary trimming and then drape the headliner over something that allowed it to curve like it would when installed. Then I glued the insulation to the panel and then glued the whole curved panel and insulation to the roof. The glass was out of my car when I did it but you will be able to work it under the rear weatherstrip and slide it under the front vinyl. When doing the back you will have to notch the panel for the rear window clamps. Your 64 should have 3 across the top. The panel won't go into the weatherstrip far enough if you don't. If you don't have a tool for removing door panels buy one. You want to pry the front/side overhead vinyl and the rollbar cover from behind where the clips push into the body. If you pull on the rollbar cover you could easily pull the clip retainers right out of the foam and the cardboard in the side panels may just tear and leave the clip in the body. If you run into difficulties and want to remove the rear side panels you would need to remove the quarter windows, courtesy lights and coat hanger. Then you would have to peal the vinyl away and expose the screws. I only mention this so you don't start pulling on the rear side panels...they may come off but not the way they are supposed to. For adhesive I used 3M Super trim adhesive. It can be used for vinyl tops and I was concerned about the adhesive loosening in the sun. Don't know if I had to worry about that but the headliner has been up for 7 or 8 years now. The good news is the replacement panels look great and clean easily. Ernie R2 R5388
