There should be an "H" or "HR" stamped on the front side of the converter if it is a Powershift converter. The standard converters may have an "FT" or "BB" and maybe some other letters. All the Powershift converters I have seen have either the "H" or "HR" on them. The standard converter should stall around 1800 with a 289 or about 1600 with a 259 and the Powershift at least 2100 but this will depend on how good the engine is. The more power your engine is putting out the higher the stall will be. Ted Harbit
