 Heater control valve References:
Have your friend go to NAPA and get their Balkamp #660-1000 which 
is a rebuild kit consisting of one rubber washer and clamp ring 
to repair his heater water valve. NAPA will probably have to order 
this as my store found two in Denver and ordered them in for me. 
The $7.00 cost is much lower than the approx. $50.00 for the valve 
replacement if you can find one. Good Luck, Jim

Guys,
I just got an email from my dad this evening concerning the heater control
valve interchange. The one that I used was from a 1993-95 Geo #74850. The
box only has "Factory Air" on the outside, no brand name. We purchased the
part from the local NAPA so they should be able to match up the part number.
I guess I was wrong in my previous email, that the valve is 3/4" in and out.
But another reason that I went with this valve is that it is much smaller
and less conspicuous than the original one. It is about half the size. My
father couldn't find any pictures that I had taken. But as soon as I get
home, I will find them and post them on the archive. Hope this helps.

I have repaired the leaking 
valve. The part number from NAPA is  "Balkamp  BK660-1000". The cost 
was 13.89 plus tax, alot better than 85.00 or more.
