/////////////////I saw a post awhile back that recommended the Holley Red or the Blue fuel pump. Where do you find room to mount it on a coupe. It's 5 1/2 inches tall and they recommend installing it vertically. The not much room down there. I'm looking at just in front of the gas tank, with a little bit of clearance for the axle to go up and down. I've got mufflers, tail pipes and rear sway bar to contend with. Does anyone make a smaller pump that is good or can be mounted sideways? Thanks Alex M/////////////////// --------------------- Here is WV, Autozone carries the Master pump line. They come in two different pressures. I one that I bought was a lower pressure unit (part # E8016S). I used it as an aux. pump on my Hawk. It works very well and is very quiet. I mounted it on the outside of the frame in front of the spring perch. Master Parts Fairfield, IL Dustybob Aug 2002 ---------------------- MTBE/ethanol in gasoline.... Fuel pump rebuild Some suppliers are selling modified Chrysler pumps as new Stude R1 & R2 pumps. The mod is bending the operating arm; hopefully with care, and after heating it. There are "good guys" who do this right, and the pumps work fine. But, the Chrysler pumps are noticably smaller. Although they have 3 valves, they are smaller, too. Fresh kits, for the original Stude pumps, made of materials that are compatable with the currently sold fuels, are available from the folks at: http://www.then-now.com/index.htm . Although the stem is staked to the diaphragm in these kits, the spring, seal, and washer aren't; so assembly is a little different. I cut my original diaphragm assembly apart, so I could reuse the spring, which is heavier than the one in the kit. I've tried both the Chrysler pump and rebuilding the original. I recommend rebuilding the original with the above mentioned kit. It's cheaper, too! Mike Jan 2004 ==========================
