May 2005 //////////Does anyone have an opinion on what are the best plugs to run in my 63 R-2 Avanti???//////// The original plug was Champion J-12. I don't think they have a current replacement Champion. I was using one of my remaining sets on our chapter Route 66 trip in 2003, but had fouling problems. One of our other travelers gave me a set of Autolite 437s and I had good luck with them. They may not be stocked at your FLAPS, but they are usually available from the warehouse. My R-2 ran really well on them- Pertronix, plugs gapped to .040. Paul Johnson ---------- I use Champion RJ12YC Nimesh Solanki nsolanki77@yahoo.com --------------------------------- I have been using NGK sparkplugs with good results. They are NGK XR5.
