I have always used '81 Camaro rear air shocks.

Monroe Shocks - Air Adjustable Part No. MA708

However, these shocks have the PIN-style bottom mount. For cars earlier than '62, you will need a
 set of '63-'66 lower leaf spring/shock plates, for under the springs.... OR make your own mount
 and weld it to the lower plates.
You will also need to add a shim to the upper bolt (washers) to center the upper sleeve-mount in
 the frame.

I do NOT know of a direct bolt-on shock.

I put air shocks on my 57 hawk. worth a try may be close enough. just wanted to let you know 
the part # if you want to check it out. they were Monroe Max-air #MA820 they bolted on without
 any changes.
