So the installation is normally followed by champhering the edge of each bearing using a hand-held bearing scraper. Due to the stepped design of the bearing bores and camjournals you can't easily check for warpage with a straight edge. It takes specialized equipment to do that. You could measure each bearing ID and compare that to each cam journal. You should come up with about .0015 to a maximum of .003 oil clearance.
