SOLD - June 1
Description- 1964, Bordeaux Red with red interior, new white top, reclining buckets,
Powershift, perfect dash, AM radio, clock, 289 2 bbl with standard steering and brakes
(finned drums), brand new Don Simmons stainless duals including mufflers, no rust EVER.
Also has a Ebon Jones R-134 a/c setup- very neat job and cools well.
I don't want to give anyone the idea that this is a perfect car. It has its share of warts-
20 foot paint with some chips, poor door/window/top fits, radio that only squawks, clock
runs sporadically, dash instrument panel chrome has some pits, needs flat black paint redone, wiper scratch on the passenger side windshield, some pitting on vent window chrome
(door window moldings and molding around the lower edge of the top are excellent), steering
wheel needs repaint, horn ring fair, buckets done with three panels at the top vs four, good
replacement carpet, but heel pad is red rather than black, jack and tools are there, but
the mounting bracket isn't, backups are hooked to the light switch rather than accessory,
some window rubber needs replacing, probably some other things I can't remember. On the
other hand- no rust ever, desirable colors and equipment (reclining buckets w/Powershift),
289 w/44 rear, MUCH work done by the second owner and by me (over $13,000 in invoices
between the two of us. It is a nice handling car with lots of pep, great parade car, and so
on. Curiously it does have an electronic ignition (haven't checked to see which distributor
it is) and it has a factory viscous fan that isn't on the build sheet.
I can provide much more detail and documentation if requested.
