In 1961, Purkhiser Oldsmobile took up the AMC franchise, but they treated Rambler as the "bastard stepchild" that it was to them. They had the franchise thru '63 or so, and after that, Wolfe Motor Sales, Corydon's Studebaker dealer, apparently saw the handwriting on the wall and picked up AMC. Ralph Wolfe retired in the early '70's, and his son Ray ran the dealership until his health gave out in the early 1980's.
