I found an old picture of the same building at the Roadside Architecture website, but it was taken about 5 years ago, when the building was last listed for sale. The blue facade on the side of the building leads me to believe it was also the home of the now defunct Schenectady Chrysler/Plymouth dealership at some point in its history. The building is currently C&M Hardware store, with an automotive repair business around the side called Katie and Sons (which makes the address of the building 1016 State St.). And the buildingĀ is for sale again. Maybe we should contact the local historical society. What better place for a classic car museum in Schenectady? A little sandblasting on that gray paint and this place could look like a dealership again.
