Up for auction an
original 1963 Studebaker Avanti,documented Southern California R1. This
vehicle has been in semi-covered storage for over 13 years. Factory
options include air conditioning,automatic,power steering and power
brakes.Not a repaint,original gold.Wiring harness intact,glass is good
except windshield. Manual windows operate smoothly.body very
straight,only two small issues with the fiberglass ,right front fender
well and right rear bumper bracket,see photos. Engine runs ,but car is
not drivable. Needs a total restoration,ie,body,paint and interior.
Drive train acceptable unless you are building a show car.All ignition
shrouds in place,no hunting for parts on this classic.This car has not
been "hacked" and deserves a quality restoration. Several factory
manuals and parts catalogs included and sources for the needed
restoration supplies.The paper trail on this Avanti starts in Westwood
,California , to say no rust on this classic. My reason for selling is
because I have no time for this project .
