Up for your consideration is a 1970 Avanti II. The car shows 132,900miles, and while not guaranteed, we believe this to be accurate. It has power steering, brakes, and windows. The air conditioner does not work. The after market radio with CD player works as do all the guages except the clock. The car has had one repaint (in Lexus white pearl), and we find no evidence of body repair. The paint is very good with only 3 or 4 chips/imperfections. The upholstery is in good condition for its age. It is gold cloth with white leather. The cloth has some minor imperfections, and the leather shows some aging. The cloth on the driver's seat has a small tear (see picture). I have the original owner's manual that gives the manufacturers and stock numbers for the leather and fabric. I have what I believe to be the original keys and leather key holder from Avanti Motor Corporation. The engine and transmission were rebuilt by the previous owner. The engine runs fine with no smoke or unusual noise. The transmission shifts and pulls OK. The car came with an after market radio, a remote CD changer, cruise control, a Grant steering wheel , and grey tinted windows. The radio works but I haven't tried the CD changer. I haven't tried the cruise control. The Grant steering wheel is really beautiful and looks good in the car. The tint is not very deep; it complements the car well. Whoever installed the cruise and/or Grant wheel did not install a horn kit. The horn button is installed in the center of the wheel, but it does not blow the horn. The button to blow the horn is under the dash. It works. Please note the circular scratch on the dash. I was like that when I bought the car. I have no idea how or why it got there. The driver's window works when it wants to. I have a new motor ( purchased from Studebaker international) that will go with the car. The car is in good shape and would make an excellent daily driver. Remember, the car is 38 years old and not perfect. There may be some things that I may have missed (good or bad). Please ask questions before you bid!!! The car is offered with no warranty of any kind or nature except title. We have a clear title in hand. We will deliver the car to the nearest Dependable Auto Shippers terminal for no charge. However, shipping arrangements and payment must be made by the buyer. A $500.00 deposit via cashier's check, wire transfer, or PayPal will be needed within 3 days of the auction close. The balance is to be paid by cashier's check or wire transfer; cash in person only. Full payment is due within 10 days of the auction close. Please bid with confidence. Check my feedback. If this car has been materially missrepresented, we will refund all payments to you!!! This does not include any shipping charges. That doesn't mean you can get your money back just because you changed your mind. Please inspect and ask any questions prior to bidding. You are bidding to buy the car, not to inspect it.
