Vehicle Description Up for sale is my 1963 Studebaker Avanti. I do not want to sell this car or any of my cars but for now I have to. I am not going to give this car away so please don't ask me to. The car had a fame off restoration and I have the poloroid pictures showing the car completely disassembled. All the parts including frame and suspension have been sandblasted primed and painted. The body has been stripped and repainted Avanti gold or the closest thing to it. The paint quality is excellent and the engine bay looks like the body. You can eat off the engine but you would get crumbs or soda on it. The hog throughs have been replaced also. The bumpers have been rechromed and only the vent window chrome has some pitting. The car looks new and I have never seen one on ebay this clean. The car does not have a/c and I never missed it. Some people say you have to have it but it looks ugly in the engine bay and you could put a supercharger in there instead. I have air conditioning in my Delorean and my Pantera and I never use it. I like to drive on nice days or at night with the windows down. (I love to hear the engine) I have seen cars in very good original condition but the ones that say restored are never as nice as this. The interior needs very little work to be almost perfect. The car has over 40k. invested. If you add a little more your done. The restoration was finished about 6 years ago. The owner before me had it done and said the car was a ten year project........I am sure they did not work on it full time. This is a car you could drive right now and go to shows. It really needs very little work compared to what is done already. I can't do the work right now because I have too much going on and I am also moving. The car has been sitting in my heated air conditioned garage with a dehumidifier running always. I drove the car to my workshop a few months ago and it has been under a cover there ever since. The car has only been outside a few times a year since the restoration. This is a show car not a fixer upper. Please email or call with questions but no low offers. My phone number is 201 315 5457................Thanks for looking.................Louie...P.S. I had these pictures on my computer if you need more let me know or come look at the car in person.
