This is my friend steve's 1964 Avanti R1. We sold several of his other cars to happy buyers, please check my feedback. This is the last car we have for sale. This is probably the lowest priced Avanti you will find that you can actually get in and drive home! I have kept 100% positive feedback by honestly describing what I sell, so here goes. First thing to realize is that pictures on ebay often flatter a car. This is the case with the pictures of this car. Having said that I want to start with the good. This is a running, driving, licensed, and insured car with a clear Calif. title in Steve's name. He has owned it for several years. The odometer shows 55,+++ miles put we do not know the actual milage. The previous owner started restoration some time ago and had the engine rebuilt. There are VERY few miles on the rebuild and the engine starts right up and runs good with a nice deep rumble. He had new paint but on a solid , straight body but the paint is now SHOT regardless of what the pictures look like. It needs new paint but you have a excellent body to work with. I believe this has always been a Calif. car and the frame and torque boxes are sound, no worries with rot. The power shift transmission works fine but is slow to engage in reverse. The glass is all uncracked and the windows roll up and down. It has nice and comfortable Recarro type seats up front and the rears are coverd with a cordiroy? type fabric. It needs interior work including door panels, head liner, ect.,we have the old parts for patterns. The dash looks OK but does have some cracks. Expect to send some time and money to make the interior nice. The tires have good tread but they are old so they will need replacing also. There is a front bumper and some other parts in a box. I will try to get pictures up soon. This car needs a complete cosmetic restoration, remember the pictures do flatter it but it is a good solid starting point. Like I said at the beginning, this is probably the least you could ever pay for a solid, driveable 1964 Studebaker Avanti. Ask questions or if you want a specific picture I will try to get it for you.. Car is sold as is and where is but we can be helpfull with loading. A $1000 paypal deposit is required within 3 days of auction close. The balance may not be paypal and is due within 10 days of auction close, all funds must clear before the car is picked up.. The car must be picked up within 30 days of auction close unless other arraingements have been made. If you have bad feedback your bid will be canceled. Thanks and good luck bidding!
