    Echlin SL-128 Brake Light Switch - NAPA - $19.00

This is part of the ongoing, new, brake system install on the GT Hawk

After deciding where to place the switch actuator, the pedal arm was drilled and a 1/4" machine bolt was installed.

When the pedal is up, the actuator bar will press the switch lever to the off position.

I glued a piece of paper to the floor to mark the holes to mount the switch

The switch was mounted so that a slight depression of the pedal turns on the brake lights.

the original wires from the harness were used without adding any to the length.

The actuator bolt was trimmed and a piece of tubing was installed to act as a roller.
