There's a tech tip around somewhere that you can use a grade 8 threaded rod with accompanying nuts, a large socket and a series of washers to pull these old bushing shells out. I've yet to find a good candidate to use this procedure on. Once the attachment bolts get corroded into the inner bushing shell, you may be able to remove the nut from the bolt, but the inner sleeve won't let go, to allow you to pull the bolt and drop the spring. For me, it's always been a Sawz-All that gets them off the car. To remove the bushings, in the past, I found that you can cut the rubber with an 1/8" drill bit, which releases the inner core, then a compromising cut on the inner face of the outer shell and beat the H-ll out of it. The rear, upper bushing that mounts in the frame is the real test of your patience.
