02 October 2006 ..
Between Sep 25 and today, I spent time repairing irregularities on the body, that couldn't be seen without a topcoat. Finishing what I thought was the last dent, I started to wet sand down the roughness in the epoxy primer coat. The object here is to get it smooth, not remove all of it.
The sanding will bring out more irregularities, of a finer nature. The process repeats, until there isn't any more filling and blocking to do...
When I got to the "new" RF fender, there was a small crease on the top, which didn't take much to repair. The larger part of the damage wasn't realized until this AM....

While sanding the primer,
noticed this tight spot in
the hood fender gap

There was a previously repaired
dent on the fender crown,
but it wasn't realized that
it caused the bulge

The outer fender was removed
and a brace was installed
between A - B. Then, a
C-clamp helped pull the curve
back to normal.

The fender was refastened onto
the car and the area at C,
was peened down, pulling the
fender arc back into line

A layer of Chroma-a-lite
filler was worked down

.... and it looks
pretty good

Still sanding down the
first primer coat

And a bit more work around
before a respray
